Futurize Partners with Oxford Africa Conference 2025 to Back the Next Generation of African Innovators
May 5., 2025 - Futurize is proud to announce its partnership with the Oxford Africa Conference 2025, a pivotal gathering of global leaders to discuss the potential for development in Africa. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to unlocking youth potential, scaling innovation, and driving long-term, inclusive growth across the continent.
The Oxford Africa Conference is an annual event hosted by the University of Oxford’s Africa Society (AfriSoc), featuring speakers influencing global progress. The conference offers a platform to share ideas and bring new perspectives to support Africa’s growth and overcome challenges that hinder advancement.
The 2025 edition of the conference will be held from May 24 to 25, 2025, at the Blavatnik School of Government, bringing together students, entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers, and innovators to shape Africa’s future. It explores Africa’s path to sustainable development through inclusive governance, youth-led entrepreneurship, resilient healthcare, cultural expression, climate action, and ethical technological innovation using AI. The conference also highlights African-led solutions and collaboration as drivers of progress across the continent.
As an official partner at this year’s conference, Futurize will take an active role in amplifying youth-led innovation to drive change in Africa. With a strong core belief that young innovators are at the cusp of tackling humanity’s biggest challenges, Futurize has always strived to enable early-stage entrepreneurs through skill-building, strong networks, and venture funding.
A central initiative in this collaboration with the Oxford Africa Conference is the launch of the Innovation Seed Fund—a grant designed to support student-led entrepreneurial ventures and research initiatives presented at the conference. This fund will help early-stage founders take the first step toward building high-impact solutions to pressing challenges in areas such as healthcare, climate, governance, and digital innovation. Moritz Gripp, Co-Founder at Futurize, will serve as a judge on the Seed Fund panel, helping to identify and support standout ventures that show strong potential for long-term impact.
This partnership is built on a shared vision for change. Both organizations believe in investing in Africa’s next generation of leaders—and in the importance of collaboration to unlock sustainable transformation. By combining the network of the Oxford Africa Conference with Futurize’s experience in venture development and systems thinking, this partnership aims to turn ideas into action for lasting progress.
